CENTORR VACUUM INDUSTRIES SECURES ORDERS FOR MULTIPLE METAL INJECTION MOLDING AND 3D METAL PRINTING

Centorr Vacuum Industries announced it has received multiple orders for furnaces to be used in the Metal Injection Molding and 3D Metal Printing Industries. Centorr entered this specialized segment of the debind and sinter market in the mid 1970’s with its line of furnaces for the tungsten carbide industry. Over the last 50 years it has continually improved the performance capabilities of these furnaces and has steadily built their customer base.

Today’s MIM-Vac furnaces have the latest control technology, multizone temperature control for improved processing uniformity and the ability to handle virtually any metal feedstock on the market.

Centorr’s newest product offering is the Sintervac AM which was designed for 3D metal printing debinding and sintering called for in Additive Manufacturing. Currently Centorr is building two of these new units. They are outfitted with graphite hot zones and operate in vacuum, partial pressure or positive pressure of forming gas. They also have a dual trapping system to handle the process offgassing from binder jet 3D manufactured parts.

In 2021 Centorr will be installing in its Applied Technology Center a new Sintervac AM for customer process development and proofing runs.  The unit will also be available for toll-work opportunities.
